October and Halloween has come and gone and at SFFWorld, we had something new go up close to every day during the month of October (20 Countdown to Halloween posts)!
But first…I attended NY Comic Con with a press pass this year (Check out my catch-all post at SFFWorld) and one of the great outcomes was the Horror panel moderated by Becky Stratford. At the author signing following the panel, Becky and I chatted for quite a bit, subsequently exchanged emails and she invited me to write an essay for her “Why I Love Horror” series. No big deal, just participate in a series of essays that also included writers like Stephen Graham Jones, Tananrive Due, and Paul Tremblay. Here’s that link: Why I Love Horror.
Here are the books I spotlighted/reviewed:
I Know a Place by Nat Cassidy
Night of the Mannequins by Stephen Graham Jones
The Weight of Blood by Tiffany D. Jackson
Monstera by Delilah S. Dawson
When the Night Comes Knocking by Katherine Daniel
Mazywood by Tananrive Due
Lethal Kiss by Taylor Grothe
